here’s where I’m at. you can probably see the sandspurs. Florida slash pines are _thin_ – you have Canadian thick woods probably I’d imagine – I don’t know. I’m on 2.5 acres so drawing a neighboring 5 acre box in the woods gives some idea of scale. Septic system ruins part of a property and the well makes a circle around itself unusable for animals (because of fecal matter etc) but outside of those areas, you can do whatever. I’m on sand so it limits by its nature – any nutrients have to be built up. I did 11 years of gardens before stopping – it was fun though but a lot of work – – but if you’re in nice soil you can just plant and go anywhere.
