here’s a lot of safeties in place to help prevent kids from dying in auto accidents and when a kid dies because there’s fixable precautions, regulations are put into place to prevent those types of easily preventable tragedies.

The “I shouldn’t have to wear a seatbelt” lobby and the “air bags are difficult to fit into our dashboards” lobby isn’t all that strong.
Kids shouldn’t get shot at school. Beyond that, hunting accidents and whatever, they happen.But in FL, the bullets have to be kept as far away from the rifle, which must be locked, when traveling. Why?To prevent preventable accidents.That’s what this is about.

AR-15 is the kids’ choice in school shooter model. Owners say it’s a lot of fun to shoot. I bet it is.Can’t prevent everything but can’t then ignore what’s partially fixable.
There’s not a kid in any school in the USA that isn’t aware of the possibility of school shooting. It’s not parents ‘fault’, or TV’s fault. Kids aren’t stupid and know that school is *supposed* to be safe and yet, “that kid over there” might be YOUR school shooter.
Ticking time bombs.
It’s more like landmines in a heavily traveled field or random car explosions than it is to car safety.
