He has a long way to earn my trust. The 45th President has been inaugurated. These are big shoes to fill and not a job to be taken flippantly.
He’s still campaigning although he’s made some improvements.
“Daddy will fix everything” rhetoric doesn’t do much for me, so his talk about “politics as usual” changing was kind of hollow to me – the stuff you say on the campaign trail.
The one line I liked in his speech, while a little indirect and somewhat weak, nevertheless holds promise.
“When you open your heart to patriotism,
there is no room for prejudice. ”
He talks about being about “action”. But what I _expect_ is a ‘show’. A spectacle. “Look here at what I’ve done” when it turns out to not be significant.
Should real improvements during his Presidency, then he may win me over. But I’m fickle. He started off on 18 months of doing everything wrong. His cabinet picks over the last three months were even worse.
But now he has the ability to make some changes. Will they be improvements for the people and the world or will they be solely to help himself financially to the tax money of the government?
Time will tell.
