having the Doctor say something like, “Yeah, it’s like that except not at all like that.” and go on to something else, one of my favorite little shticks.

i await the skeptical alternative explanations to start coming out. [I haven’t seen yet] but zero-point energy experiments usually generate some amount of alternative hypothesises (hypothesi?) for the exhibited behaviors.

That said, whatever the nature of this phenomenon, it’s exciting that two different experiments with different setups gave experimental proof to this hypothesis and really, it makes sense when one considers how time works.

Causation isn’t violated and no work is being done by the system so it’s not defeating entropy in some way. it’s not a perpetual motion machine.

But I look forward to seeing their inclusion in future Doctor Who episodes. I believe they used something they called Time Crystals in the past for something – or something similar [my bets are on that the original author of the study is a Doctor Who fan] – so it should be fun to have a Doctor’s companion talk about Time Crystals mentioning this study and having the Doctor say something like, “Yeah, it’s like that except not at all like that.” and go on to something else, one of my favorite little shticks.
