Grandmas were on AOL in the 90s. Now they’re great-great grandmas in 2017. Chat rooms would get disturbed by the “typical 10 yr old” (who was sometimes way older than 10 but same stereotypical behavior)

But I gotta say that your generation was a unique one in how you grew up online. GenZ is growing up a little differently online than you guys, and now there’s “Generation Alpha” (the ones born with tablets in hand) who are starting to show up in places like musically and WiiU and fidget spinners and Jake Paul unironically. Interesting times. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Ontology debates. I think that’s why I prefer epistemology. [2 of the biggest words I know. Took me a year to ‘get’ the gist of the difference]

it’s awesome. I try to keep an eye on changes as they happen. Its fun. I end up sticking my nose in some strange places online but I end up being welcomed somehow.

Being an internet ancient (and just ancient) means I keep my nose clean and transparent and traceable. I use my real name, I don’t engage in private msgs just public comments. Lets me have a presence in places like musically (I have 5900 followers there) – I go on “self-esteem runs” where I like a bunch of creative works by a bunch of the kids there and an occasional “great job!”. You need a strong self-esteem to survive online and they’ll be dealing with online negative shit soon enough.

Did it on Vine, on Google+ and Youtube and Orkut before that, a little on Myspace, on mailing lists, big forums, Usenet, all the way back to BBS’ and chat rooms.

Isn’t the only thing I do online but since I remember the value of an unexpected kindness at the right time, I do it. I stay away from drama, clingy ppl, the truly desperate. I know my limits. But I enjoy it. Weirdly wholesome is strikingly accurate.

I’m glad I have a wholesome alignment because I’d probably be some kind of evil if I didn’t. With great power comes great – well, I actually believe that stuff.

The prick’s taking credit for existing. He doesn’t appreciate the gift HE was given by those who came before him. Shit, at least a nod to the telegraph operators of the 19th century or something.
