Govt requires cooperation for good leadership. Firm and also cooperative.
Executives don’t have to cooperate with anybody.
But board members do. Forget CEO / COO. They’re bark-and-obey. But find a board member and you’ll find someone with transferrable skills, if you insist on business experience.
Activism requires leadership. Coordinating an activist organization is leadership and far more difficult as it has no job title / corporate backup structure in case of failure.
Progressive is the correct direction. It’s forced me to really think about what I believe and what is better and it wasn’t easy.
I was a proud Indy since I was 18. But after going through the very detailed Democratic Progressive Caucus of Florida platform I had no more excuses.
Compared it to Gillum and then to Chris King (his Lt Gov) platforms, and while there’s differences (as there are differences to Sanders who is Democratic Socialist), it was a heck of a lot closer to how I think than anything else I’ve seen.
NY has diff concerns than FL, so you have to evaluate for your needs
But if you think in terms of cooperative vs alpha barker, the dynamics of “who it is” changes.
If the platform is solid and you support it, and others up the chain support it, and they have cooperation around them or can gain it, goals will be acheived.
Here’s a question: Should Nixon win, will Cuomo then back her?
He should. Traditionally the non-winners then back the winner and work so that they succeed.
This fundamental difference usually present in the Democratic party might attenuate your concerns
I’m counting on the Progressives to both repair the Democratic party and to bring the Republican party away from the fringes and back to ‘normal’.
I think it’s possible.
The word has to spread where the eyes and hands are.
Eyes are on phones held in their hands. Blanket all social media, bring up issues. Put it in memes.
If they’re outside, use billboards, paper products that can be carried around.
Too much TV focus on a generation that doesn’t watch much.
It’s a bit late for today. But if she wins primaries, join every social network and blanket it
