Gotcha. Yeah, I think my favorite use has been, “It’s 20 gayteen” among the alternative kids on Twitter and stuff. I wonder what 2019 will give? “It’s 20 quarantine”? Hm, “It’s 20 bar scene”? Hmm.. “It’s 20 well-foreseen”… ooh

I think the error a lot of people are making with this is taking this situation and applying it to themselves or someone they know.

“Wouldn’t it be awful if I were in their shoes?”

But, if I found myself about to become a Supreme Court justice, yes, it would be awful because my whole life would rightfully be under scrutiny and I have to decide, “Is this position worth it?”

It’s not a man’s life at stake: It is his AMBITIONS.

=====

Few positions are as vaulted as Supreme Court Justice.
They are going to scrutinize the law that will affect millions of lives in the smallest and biggest of ways.

So should the nominee’s life be scrutinized.

If not strong enough or has weaknesses or errors in the past, then step back and allow another in.

I don’t look at Kavanaugh and say “That could be me or millions of other men.” Which of us has such high ambitions that compels scrutiny like this?
