I did this just now. Sometimes my brain STILL goes BZZT with this stuff until I think of finite element analysis, figuring out tension and compression of materials, trying to find weak spots and where fractures will occur.
Now if you were to zoom in to the red arrow, instead of this color change, you’d see the stretching and its effects from a local perspective, which is more what this paper is about
