George Ellis it was goalless at first. it started a few days ago. i saw “six degrees of wikipedia” website again and wondered what would grow if i started connecting topics that interest me. i then wished i had an easy way to hook nodes and edges together with labels. it turned out i had the tool : yEd it was easy. it is so easy that i keep returning to it when i can. the connections are directed associations but no hierarchy is indicated as they are simply page links in wikipedia. with such a flatness i wondered if structure would emerge and it seems to be emerging. as these topics are of my own choosing and i choose which connections are valid for me, it is becoming a valid representation of a way i associate concepts in my mind. being based on wikipedia it is also public and traceable.
