GenX Here. Sorry about this. I didn’t like my generation then either. They tried teaching my generation: “ignore racism and it goes away”. We were taught it was tied to certain words and phrases and a whole complex way of talking in code arose to get around the “technicalities” so that something could be racist “without being racist”. “it’s not racist: I didn’t use the magic words, see? What’s your problem NOW?!? wE GAVe YOu WHaT yOu WaNtED” and it continues.
