“Transgender men and women suffer from gender dysphoria, and thereby are not suited to serve in a military capacity.”

Gender dysphoria is not a personality disorder. It is a fixable condition. Once it is fixed, the problem goes away.

My mother’s foster brother was married for 40 years, had kids, grandkids. Owned and operated an HVAC business in conservative PA.

One day, he just couldn’t do it anymore.

He “came out” about being in the wrong body, lots of drama inbetween with family, did the year or so under psychologist’s care living as a woman thing and had the surgery.

She was Abe until her late 50s, now she’s Alice and has been Alice for about 20 years now.

I last saw her about 8 years ago, came to visit. Looks like a tall Queen Elizabeth 2. [she’s even been her in parades, once the town got over their snit, which lasted a few years]. She’s probably in her late 70s by now.

She knew when she was 10 that she was in the wrong body but what do you do in the early 1950s? Not much one could do.

Had to wait until the late 1990s to do something about it. If she didn’t? She’d have killed herself. But since the fix? She’s who she always was supposed to be.

Fixable condition.
