Gen Z is a far more prudish generation than the past few generations.
They’re more open at stating whatever they specifically PREFER if they’ve figured it out. But that’s doesn’t mean they’re doing more. Rather they don’t want to be misunderstood and deal with the BS of putting up with someone else who expects something they’re not going to give.
Asexual in Z has two kinds; first, it’s the default. You’re SHOULD be asexual in the first bunch of years in your life.
So if someone CONTINUES to be asexual while some peers have figured out their own interests, there’s two reasons:
a) They’re undecided and so they’re still in the “default” of asexuality.
or
b) They have figured out that asexual is what they like and where they want to stay.

I worry about Gen Alpha though. They’re still young yet but they’ve had the anti-LGBT messaging from big youtubers and manosphere from the time they had tablets in their hands with more “don’t be gay” jokes than I’ve ever seen.
The boys especially have learned to be obsessed with “looksmaxxing” and that they HAVE to train their jawlines from elementary school onwards using mewing or else they’re never be a “10” and ‘get the girl’.
Toxic personalities like Andrew Tate and his protoges had excessive influence on Alpha boys between 10-12 years old for a couple of years although that’s hopefully waning.
Among the younger Alpha though, the 6-7 goofiness might just save them as they were starting to become a scary generation for a little while, with destroying school bathrooms for tictoc pranks, etc.
