Found an ancient e-mail I sent on 16-SEP-1991 22:31:30.33 updating a math professor I had no classes with but I liked to chat with now and again (David C Kelly, “His interests include analysis, probability, the history of mathematics, recreational mathematics, and 17.”)
I was going to Hampshire College in Amherst MA which had (has?) an intercollege exchange with 4 other nearby colleges.
In the e-mail I discovered I’d taken advantage of that program by going to a class at Smith College,
Child and Adolescent Development, at Smith College
for a semester.
For all the stuff you can remember, it’s amazing the stuff you can forget.
You’re right. I didn’t forget because with the right trigger, I was able to remember. It is truly amazing how we function.
