For YEARS, I trusted (knowing their flaws) Christian Science Monitor, Al-Jazeera and RT as a trio of sources that, when used together, I could usually figure out some kind of general “what really happened here” between.
I knew their biases. It was easy to pick them out and pay attention to the news itself.
But not Aleppo. I simply COULD NOT, no matter where I looked, no matter how I tried, I COULD NOT find an even-handed stance that wasn’t a mere “both sides” but actually got to the meat of things.
And… it was Dec 16, 2016 that I gave up on RT, looked at CSM less (I started again a year ago), and I peek at Al-Jazeera now and again. But Aleppo broke me.
