For me, Harris too neat and tidy to make sense. Not nearly messy enough to be believable. But I understand his appeal. Ppl like simplification and he does a very good job at what he does. Of course then people follow up with that Australian dude…. Singer? Sanger? I forget. Then I’m like.. ugh, really? but, personal preference here. Im not much for hero-worship.
Yeah. he’s great when he stays on his territory but like a lot of talking heads and book writers, he steps out of his territory and starts sounding kinda lame to everybody ‘cept his followers.

Where he’s good, he’s good. I have a similar thing with the singularity dude with the keyboards and the google. Great up to a point… then I’m like… oh come on.
Hawking disappointed me. Still like him but… yeah. ’nuff said there.
Malcolm Gladwell broke my heart when I realized he was embellishing some simple things (after 2 or 3 books too) but damn he’s a good writer.

I mean, it’s not that I don’t subjectively generally agree with it in principle what he’s saying there… but damn, it’s an OPINION. Drives me nuts when ppl mix them up, especially otherwise smart dudes like him.
