For about two years, I used deskmate’s Telecom program and my trusty 300 bps modem on my Tandy 1000 TL. It worked for me, and I had no qualms about using it.

Someone converted the ENTIRE 1998-1994 TRS-80 DELPHI forums to a single PDF file a month ago. I thought: Was _I_ ever on DELPHI? So I search for my name. 117 hits, first one in 1992. So yes, yes I was. My first post, I was defending the honor of the lowly Deskmate TELECOM program. Now to see what other shenanigans I got into.

I then received a 2400 baud modem (the Zoom v.42bis), added a hard drive, downloaded a different comm progrtam, and then decided to run a BBS. If it wasn’t for that telecom, I wouldn’t have gotten where I am today :)

I may just use Deskmate’s Telecom once in a while, just for the heck of it. Maybe I’ll set up a Macro (using the Macros companion, of course), that will allow me to do automatic Zmodem downloads using Telecom :) Shouldn’t bee too difficult!
