finding my biases is hard but fun

Philosophy was never a strong point of mine.  Of course I’d have my own, but I never was much for thinking “where did my thinking come from?”.  So, I’m a n00b at this stuff.  Still, I was surprised to hear a lot of myself in this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_philosophy – and so, I’ve identified a broad form of some of my biases.  This is contrasted with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analytic_philosophy – some of it I like as well.

Is it possible to be bias-free?  I believe, no.  But at the very least, I believe one can be as honest as possible about the historical roots of one’s thinking processes… which… feeds into the continental philosophy concept, giving me a bias, and… well, here I go in a circle…
