final project for women’s studies class i’m sending in. It’s supposed to be about the future of women and/or gender (like afro-futurism, etc) -could be a poster, could be a letter to my future self etc, but i went with my past and what I saw for the future and already saw and what I see to yet to come. Since you’re in it Linda, I hope you’re alright that I included you at the start; it really did shape my awareness of such things as a boy and I remembered. [yes the audio goes up and down; i tried it a new way, just recording one clip after another until I was done. I did it in one shot, taking a break between sentences. I did not pre-write it. nor did I know what I was going to say until I said it. But those breaks inbetween each sentence made it doable. Next time I’ll be more careful with the audio but she did say something about “too perfect” projects being a little suspicious so hopefully my flawed audio will work in my benefit). I also have to write an essay surrounding it where hopefully I can explain better some of the things I vaguely referred to in this but I’m ok with this result. I spent 4 days thinking about it, no idea what to do really, so many choices, didn’t know until I started recording each sentence as I thought it, and then the audio portion was done within 15 minutes. The rest was finding if I could do a voice to text that worked (i did) and if pictory could match up the text with my audio file (it did – blew my mind). That part took about an hour or two.
