There’s no extra pandering being added. Federally, transgenders can already use the bathroom of their choice.
North Carolina was adding restrictions.
it was a series of court decisions – I didn’t pay attention to that stuff, and apparently no one else did either. It happened quietly. But North Carolina’s govt noticed it and had an issue, passed restrictive laws that led to some businesses leaving the state over it. Bad for business.
The cost of adding restrictions and regulations for transgenders to prove their transgender-ness and get certified able to use a particular bathroom was a dumb idea. Let ‘em use the bathroom they want. Any problems will just have to be dealt with locally. Makes sense.
Yeah, you get used to it quick enough. My college was like that back in 1990. Took maybe 3 days to be blind to it. It’s a bathroom for bathroom things.
