Fascinating! yes, very related. We may be coming towards similar strange attractors but from slightly different directions.
For example: I was born preterm. 6.5 months. Shouldn’t exist at all. Escaped with tin eye+not great good ear, one bad eye and the other not that great. No 3D vision – it’s cyclops but the right side is just meh.
AND it’s left eye / right ear, so I don’t even have a preferred side. They both suck.
So, I only see outlines sharply when I have glasses on. The rest of the time things are vaguely outlined. As a kid I would walk around with my eyes closed, even down the street, imagining what would’ve happened if was born without any vision at all;
Yet, here’s the platonic realm; basis of so many assumptions about how reality supposedly is. But what is it really? Compression of the uniqueness of the universe to fit in our tiny brains I suspect. Vaguenesses are smoothed out; we “see” outlines of objects that aren’t really there, created in our eyes and then further in our brains as part of the visual system which constructs visual reality on the fly, 15 seconds at a time.
