This Vine comedian calls this, “Dramatic recreation of what scientists believe princes were probably like.”

Scientists in the public eye ( at least, the spokespeople for Science, who is usually all the public ever sees) are considered to have really toothpick, stickfigure simplistic view of history.

This got three million views so far in two days. Not that that’s proof of my argument, but it might count for something. Might not.

Self-congratulatory rah-rah yay Science “let’s be consistent with our history guys, ok?” don’t realize that the people they’re teaching have a more rounded view of history than ‘implying’ that Gallileo was tortured by the Catholic Church, and other awful ahistorical viewpoints, or Hawking’s strawGod argument. He _really_ fell on his face there. He just doesn’t realize it, nor do those who support him. His SCIENCE is fine. His historical and theological knowledge he demonstrates is .. kinda an 8 yr olds view of history and theology, not to put down 8 yr olds, some of whom know more than Hawking in those areas, even if they don’t know what he knows in blackhole radiation. Can I at least get a “I see your point even if I disagree?” ’cause my fingers are tired tongue emoticon
