Excessively going over the past? Regret? Sorrow? Not helpful.

Excessively going over the past?  Regret?  Sorrow?  Not helpful.

I don’t have regrets. I’m glad for everything I’ve done in this life so far.

I’ve had moments where I went, “Oh shit! Ok, won’t do THAT again! Lesson Learned.” – but long, dragged out torture sessions? Not that much thankfully.

But I’ve learned the value of apologizing. Rudeness is a weak imitation of strength, and I don’t see too many valid excuses for it. If you’re in a social environment, follow the basic social rules.

So, I apologize when it’s expected. It’s not lying. It’s part of being social… which … can be dreadful at times.

You can’t always change the past (unless you write History books, then you can change the past), but you can influence the Future by doing your best in the Present moment.

Forgive yourself when you screw up.  Make changes if they will help you not repeat a mistake.  Forgive others when they screw up.  They can’t read minds either or predict the future any better than you can.
We’re all just floundering as best we can here :)
