excessive dependence upon any system is absurd. goes beyond religions and into philosophies and such. Over depending on science is scientism – and neglects the reality of publish or perish and its effects on science as a whole, . excessively depending upon reason neglects the cognitive systems present in our brains… excessive faith in cognitive studies neglects the flaws in the current methodologies used… etc etc.
so yeah. skepticism can go far. I’m even skeptical of skepticism, so I *do* let myself actually believe a FEW things.
