Exactly! But the people that own media have convinced us over the decades that we need private corporations to do the roles of government; “innovation” etc. And that’s not to say they don’t but I think they overstate what they do quite a lot (I could give examples): I think that government should have a loose hand: in the USA that means Constitution. That means that internet and social media has to answer to government but not to some corporation inbetween that has its OWN RULES above and beyond the constitution that we have to follow.

And that’s not to say they don’t but I think they overstate what they do quite a lot (I could give examples):
I think that government should have a loose hand: in the USA that means Constitution. That means that internet and social media has to answer to government but not to some corporation inbetween that has its OWN RULES above and beyond the constitution that we have to follow.
This doesn’t mean things would all be government run — it means that the only rules you have to worry about would be government rules, not corporate rules too on top of government rules
