Every man becomes a potential frat boy in nice-guy clothing.

The White House an “It’s On Us” campaign right now. It’s a great idea, but alas, it preaches to the converted.

Sociopathic humor like the frat-boy signs will continue, perhaps subverted and as Chuck Hambleton points out, subverting it and making it underground might prove to be worse.

At the same time, does it *REALLY* have to be so explicit on a kid’s FIRST DAY AT UNIVERSITY? Just BEING at the University and making friends, you’d figure out the culture soon enough. I agree that the the behavior shouldn’t be condoned by the community. Still… criminalizing the signs won’t stop the mentality behind it… and that can be a little more frightening. Every man becomes a potential frat boy in nice-guy clothing.

So, like most things, a decent answer to the problem has many difficult levels.
