even though I am not a fan of the way we handle intellectual property issues – not at all – nevertheless, I admire the bombastic Thomas Edison. I may be the only one among my friends online or off that feels this way — and I’m not against Nikolai Tesla — but they were in different worlds, each of which gets my respect in different ways.
I very often don’t have the best solution to a problem. so what I like to do is look at many solutions and choose or combine and mostly reject and test until I find something close enough to stick my name on and say this is OK by me.
Thomas Edison without the profit or the factory or the tangibles.
I have heard that only people from New Jersey give any respect to Thomas Edison. The rest of the world has him as a nemesis to Nikolai Tesla. I don’t know how true this is, but I have lost friends simply by mentioning anything nice about Edison.

he ran an invention factory. Several i think.
I got to tour one as a kid in third grade as they talked about it with pride.
I even have a Thomas Edison Memento coin somewhere
