When I was a teenager I read a book intended for parents and caregivers/workers with children called “How To Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk” It contained these little comic panels like this, showing “Instead of (this behavior) Try (this other behavior)” It modeled alternative responses to common situations. I learned a lot from it. I can’t say I used all of it but what it did is it made me conscious of being careful _how_ things are said because that can make the difference between effective and ineffective communication.
