oh there’s a few songs I’ve listened to hundreds of times too
but I’ve never had a playlist
I like random whenever possible
Random is my favorite chooser for music
my brain plays music 24 hours a day.
most of it is not on YouTube or performed anywhere because its my own.
A lot of it is cobbled together from pieces of many songs
The more different types of songs and particularly genres that I feed it with the better the quality
but I only need a few notes because most songs reduce to a couple of very simple patterns. the structure the melody the rhythm the “drop” the texture of the instruments and voices the texture of the piece itself and probably a few others
i never broke down what i look for. the cataloging in my brain is automatic and anonymous. i don’t remember names of songs usually
