Eh. I’m on the left I think but I never blocked anyone in all my years here. But I’ve been blocked numerous times in political debates by folks on the right who couldn’t handle my ability to work around all their careful pre planned arguments. I’m not Democrat though. But I think Democrats might be more likely to block because there’s a fundamentally different approach going on. They’ve settled and are comfortable in their worldviews and have nothing to prove. They see debaters who counter every point as mosquitoes to swat if they get annoying to them. Yet something else I’ve noticed from the right – usually further right – is a bit of the game of “getting blocked = victory!” and will sometimes travel in groups of three or more to create a situation where at least one of the group gets blocked. So both sides declare victory but for different reasons entirely.
