Big dramatic right wing fuss about the same cities doing the same kinds of things they always do and create a hysteria around it.

Those books constantly get banned in conservative schools because they’re afraid of anarchy rising.
Reality though: It’s book reports. “Close reading” (which is annoying af), and kids can’t wait to get past them to move on to the next thing.
I’m ok with kids being forced to read things they wouldn’t otherwise. But I also know most of it will go in one ear and out the other because kids don’t usually care about what teachers want them to care about.
They care about their own lives.

 I don’t identify with “wyt ppl”. Never did. I accept it’s something other people of that group want to include me in.
And if someone classifies me that way because I remind them of someone else? That’s just how it is. I deal with it then as i’m not “going to bat” for a team I didn’t sign in to.
