EDIT 5: I was right the first time; removed the doubt edits. Confusion was that SOCIAL is can also be included in DMN but doesn’t have to be. will add: start at DMN, THEN to motor, then using motor/concrete to imitate a “2nd order DMN” that includes social background assumption (typical social intentions) due to lack of a DMN social background .. oh, i am so close. –restart Motor to default mode network There is a how to why spectrum which goes from concrete to abstract and it recruits different parts of the brain but it’s not so much a dichotomy as there’s levels of abstraction. This is big. I’ve read some people (inattentive adhd, autism, preterm born but there’s many others) who spend a lot of time in the “default mode network” (DFN) (daydreaming, thinking about past and future and possibilities, etc) and I’m definitely one of them. Now armed with that and a) the notion of an “salience network” bridging between default mode network and executive network (a paper from a few days ago and b) this notion of concrete (how) to abstract (why / social), I’m “almost there”. These papers use DIFFERENT notion of abstract than I’ve been and so I have to adjust so I’m not there “yet” but wow it’s almost: I think for example my learning of psychology from a young age was to compensate for being UNABLE to form a quick “Theory of Mind” and _instead” have used reasoning systems to compensate and motor systems for “SPEED” to try to IMITATE A “THEORY OF MIND” (compensation) as best I could.
