Easy. April 16, 2022 there was a Facebook post claiming that Putin saved 35,000 slaves from tunnels in Ukraine. There’s no evidence to support that claim other than a Facebook post. Meanwhile, Russian forces have attacked innocent victims in an ongoing basis. Some are soldiers and some are innocents. This is well documented over a period of time. No evidence for saving 35,000 children out of tunnels except for a Facebook post. The real question is: What do you want to believe? That is what you will believe. I believe civilians got attacked by Russia in Ukraine because that ALWAYS happens in wars. But saving children in tunnels is far more extraordinary a claim. There is a psychological thing where the more outrageous the claim, the more likely people will believe it. I don’t remember what it’s called though. Maybe novelty-is-more-interesting-than-boring?
