Something as simple as a to-do list can have all manner of critical thinking involved. “Do I need to do this? Why do I think I need to do this? How does doing this relate to other things I need to do? Can someone else do it for me? What’s the most important reason I need to do this?”
etc. It’s effective.
The part missing from Critical Thinking tasks is Time. Critical Thinking is Timeless – it does not require a When. It’s a void in Critical Thinking methods.
“When do I need to do this? Can it wait until later? How long can I wait to do this? If I feel as if I must do it now, why? Who needs it done now? Are the time constraints valid? Can I modify the Time constraints?”
