‘don’t be a such a girl’ and variations of that stopped having any affect on me in middle school. I’ve had stuff like that hurled at me as an adult — BY adults… but it just looks weird to me – like, really? you just said that? ok.

Seems emotionally stunted, like laughing at “aren’t you glad I didn’t say orange?” for 37 years.

yeah, I get it. But that’s probably why as insults they always fell flat at my feet as it’s hard to take it seriously.
 
Do .. people believe the “women are emotional weak / men are logical and strong” as adults?
