Do you know who takes children’s opinion most seriously? Advertisers. They appeal directly to children.

“Old enough to be a criminal?”
This goes over the ages of criminal responsibility in the USA and other countries.

What gets me is: You can be held criminally responsible long before you have a voice that can be heard.

To me, the two should go hand in hand. If you’re responsible enough to be held accountable for your actions, you’re responsible enough for some other things as well. How about a passbook savings account? A small checking account? SOME level of autonomy?

Do you know who takes children’s opinion most seriously?

Advertisers. They appeal directly to children. They know children are capable of rational thought and appeal to them directly.

We live in a lopsided world.
