Do you have any insights on the differences 495’s (or 459’s?) and 479’s? Previously, I’d consistently tested as a 4w5, 9w1, 5w4. But now I’m consistently testing as 4w5, 7w6, 9w1. I really identify with both. My instinctual variant sx/sp if that’s useful. Help?

I’d say the difference between tritypes is like comparing fantasy to philosophy. The strong Withdrawn energies of both 4 and 9 make both of these tritypes imaginative and focused on their inner worlds. The head type determines how this imagination is used. With 479, the 7 pushes the tritype to explore fantasy, the realm of possibilities and new ideas. This type is creative and a day-dreamer. The 5 in 459 focuses the mind towards exploring ideas and theories within a structure. This tritype values the depth of thinking rather than breadth with 479. The type is more introspective and contemplative.
The problem is that since both of these types are not your primary, it’s difficult for tests to accurately ascertain them. The final typing can only be made with your own analysis and deduction. Sometimes asking for the opinions of others may help provide some insight as well. I hope that this information gives you a better idea of what your tritype may be.
