“do you actually know a lot of people under the age of 25? Outside of leftbook I mean. “
I do. Sample: From 2011-2013 I observed Google+ and the influx of GenZ onto the internet en masse. It started with a kid that was getting tortured by grown adults in a Google Hangout (when it was Public in the beginning), and I made it a mission to make sure they didn’t get harassed by grown adults online. But I soon saw dozens. Then hundreds, then thousands. I engaged as myself, lightly, staying out of drama, giving occasional public “how to deal with shitty people online” advice stuff. And watched the memes grow and change.
That was 2011-2013. But it continued. Shall I continue or can I stop at this?
The oldest of GenZ is about 17/18 yrs old now. The marketing-school estimates of “born 1993/1995″ – those are wrong. The estimates that put the split at 2000 are accurate.
There is a distinct difference between people born from 1993 or 1995 to people born 2000+.
GenZ cannot vote yet and has never voted.
Helping you in particular see this matters to me because you and I are both GenX, and I DON’T want GenX yanked into the “millennial vs boomer” battle bullshit with GenZ. That was their issue.
