distribution keeps words alive – paper archival of websites

Keeping a piece of paper in your home is not permanence.  It’s personal archival.

But distributed – via books for example, and the copying of it, is what keeps something alive.

What differs from books and online, is books are saved locally at your home.  But web pages, even e-mail, are stored somewhere else.

This lack of ownership is troubling.  Go back to a website, and it’s gone.

Is anyone doing a printed archive of websites?
