Disagree. Young people have as much right to develop an interesting future from THEIR starting points as we did. Their “expected” is our “novel”. Let them have their shot too.
We’re at the juvenile stage of humanity. Their imaginations begin where ours starts to end. I want to see what they can do.
(by “we”, it’s anybody out of compulsory schooling. If you’ve ever said “kids today” in a negative way, you’re a “we”)
Maybe virtual heroin. But I also experienced the amazing creativity in Minecraft and see it now in memes. Post modernism is at peak yet is giving rise to a curious subculturing of society. Not tribalism so much but subcultures. And yet, traditional systems like schools and such continue as always and this huge population online gives an intermingling of young old and inbetween simultaneously that would have been unimaginable in any other context.
I see interesting times ahead Some tumultuous as worlds collide but it will be fascinating.
