Dennett I avoided for years because I knew I’d like him but wanted to be ready. I don’t like getting talked into things. Finally, I did read something of his and enjoyed it – but knew enough to be able to recognize when to stop.

I’ve looked for someone like that through the years. But I look for the “fatal flaw” and can usually find it as i don’t want to get too hooked. I’d say what I do is find affinities then look to where the divergences are and I don’t stop ’til I find them.
