Declaration of independence is not part of the United States. It is a list of grievances to the King written prior to the incorporation of the United States as a legal entity and therefore is a “nice idea” but not part of the United States but its pre-existence.
No. There’s law. But there’s no such thing as “good as law” except for poetry. A nice idea. Inspirational but no power.
It’s a nice backstory to the United States. I love it. It’s far nicer than the US Constitution.
But it’s pre-historic to the entity known as the United States. Still nice to get a peek to the minds of smart guys.
USA is a Secular Nation, right from its founding. On purpose because religion can undo liberties if imposed.
That’s called the “color” as in the “Color of law”.
It is not legally binding and anybody attempting to use “color of law” when it’s not law and breaks the law, is breaking the law.
