Computation is our model. There’s many equivalent ways to represent similar things. Nature seems to work with interacting fundamentals and harmonics of weakly coupled oscillations. It gets complicated quickly because it higher levels of hierarchy things appear to be on and off and they are. At the lowest levels it’s stochastic. But the higher levels can use the stochastic at the lowest levels to make choices, use elasticity to memorize in order to not have to make the choice from stochastic things again. Efficiency. All of these and more can be modeled with computation. But I don’t think that’s how nature actually operates.
