Closest I came to Engineering work was being a Systems Analyst (II). Basically I was their Excel nerd. But I built systems and processes and code that I didn’t document but it worked and they made money on it and depended on it.

When I left, instead of documenting it (I did but it was crap documentation), I trained a few people on how to make necessary changes in order to customize it for future drugs (it was a pharmaceutical company) and what *might* break in the future that they’ll have to fix in order to make sure it keeps functioning.

I was just a temp who got lucky. I don’t even have a degree in anything.

It was fun though. Big fish small pond type thing, straddling between IT and Business operations.
