Chas Warren Nothing’s a derail. These directions are all important to address and wording of things matters. For me, I realized I was looking at layering and so I went to the basic question “why”. The answer I got wasn’t a “why” answer but a “how can a binary image clearly show complex layerings in computer imagry?” And that wasn’t what I wanted either. What I wanted is “What are the physical properties in common between layering behaviors in nature?” or “How do layers form?”
