There are 1,000,000s of things happening at any moment on the planet. In leadership courses, which I’ve also taken, and leadership positions, which I’ve also been in, you have to know what’s within your area of concern and what is not. For example, where I live, there’s Venezuelans EVERYWHERE. It’s a very common immigration hub. I live near Immokalee FL which is known to have a lot of undocumented workers and we had a supermarket open up last year that was ONLY Venezuelans working there – and part of me thinks they PROBABLY were using it to slide people in – mostly women – as they had way too many people working behind the deli area. So lots of Venezuelans. So then I hear about political theatrics hyping up things in an apartment building. Then I hear “oh look gangs in gang parts of new york are going gang things and NYPD is concerned. and why is it being hyped up? Oh yeah, border complaining again.
Not over the country: a) what’s “Brooklyn, Bronx and Williamsburg, NY?” Same place. Three different names for the SAME PLACE. (hype) b) Local police in Aurora say they didn’t take over the apartment building, but lawyers for the apartment owners say they did. Why would lawyers get paid to say there’s gangs and disemenate that information as far as possible so that WE’RE talking about it? (hype) ’cause it’s hype that’s probably not entirely true, even if it’s not entirely false. It’s pre-election (look it’s September) bs (hype)
“official capacity”? They’re a law firm. Lawyers promote perspectives, similar to politicians. There’s “infinite gradients of truth”. So, one can ZOOM IN to a minor thing and make it seem HUGE, or zoom out on an important thing to it appears meaningless. They’re salesmen in AFFECT – how you are made to _feel_ about something.

I project myself onto the mountain peak, feeling the wind in my hair, and envisioning the breathtaking view. The hippocampus helps me combine elements of past experiences in new ways, creating novel scenarios. I imagine hiking to the peak, then descending into a valley, and finally standing at the edge of a sparkling lake. This is episodic future thinking, using my past experiences as a foundation for imagining the future. **Step 5: Imagination** As I continue to imagine, I feel a sense of freedom and creativity. I can draw on my bank of memories, recombining and remixing them to create new scenarios.
