I grew up in New Jersey, USA and there were sizable Islamic communities around.
Never saw any of that. People adopted to local customs.
The only people that wore headgear that I saw were:
b) Observant Jews
Facegear isn’t banned per se, but if you wear your face covered, they won’t let you into a bank, post office, or any government agency or school, unless it’s REALLY REALLY cold outside and actually, by custom, you take it off before you come inside.
