It’d be different if he was using NLP stuff. I’ve seen him do a few of those. The hand on the shoulder squeeze. The speaking patterns. (the 3x same thing 3 different ways).
But that was a cat move. I see my cats do it all the time. You can watch the other cat’s back ripple when they do it.
Since he’s been taking advice from the ex-Generals, he’s been improving. As long as they keep Trump in a good direction, I’m sure he’ll shape up fine.
If he’s a good President, his actions and results will show it over time.
You have a knee-jerk reaction to any criticism leveled against him. He’s in the role of the President. I *want* him to succeed. I DON’T want him to fuck it up.
That’s why I pay attention. He’s representing *me* and you and and every man woman and child in the USA to the rest of the planet.
If I was doing this shit, I’d want someone to call me out on it. “Hey Ken? Yeah, that thing you did? That was fucked up. You’re embarrassing me here.”
No president ever got a free pass and none of them should. They have a duty and obligation to serve the country. We put him in that space and the person in that role should serve well.
“Trust him, don’t question him” isn’t a luxury that Presidents get.
It’s unfortunate, but I’m glad that Kelly, McMaster, and Mattis are there right now. Military, who usually has great disdain for Congress (who controls their budget) shouldn’t have *too* much direct influence over the Executive office, but at this point in time, it’s a good thing.
They’re helping restore confidence in the Executive branch and give people a bit of hope that maybe things will reverse course a little.
Time will tell.
and yes you’re right This was ultimately a nit-pick about his character, although I was mostly mocking the people who continually make weird excuses for his behavior. He can stand up for himself and prove himself like any of us have to.
But, there was no need for me to bring it up in the first place. I could have done better.
I hope this one is ok. It’s another nitpick on his character. It was also probably unnecessary for me to post. I could’ve done better here too.
You have sympathy for people in power but usually have little to no sympathy for people who have no power, unless they’re cute.
Just a pattern I’ve noticed. Maybe the sympathy for those in power is just a trolling move though.
