I try to keep gaps in mind. I think it’s important to try to seal them – to find absolutes and certainties… to have perfectly coherent arguments, etc.
But nothing seems to remain sealed shut, closed book, finished, air tight, whether figuratively or literally.
Absolutes in the end, usually aren’t quite so absolute at all. They can be ALMOST and NEARLY but they remain “not quite”.
Just now, I walked into my kitchen from the back porch. Our backdoor is sealed shut. Air conditioning doesn’t seem to get out.
Yet, who was already in the house before I opened the door? A catepiller. Found the gap. Walked right through it.
