pancake syrup and gauze – that’s brilliant. Could try cake icing – that’s pure glucose/dextrose.. wait that’s grape sugar (or is it apple sugar)? I feel for you; had a grandmother with type 2 diabetes – not quite the same (I never fully understood either entirely) but I remember putting a dribble of cake-icing on the corner of the lip and progressing once roused out of diabetic coma. I don’t know what the differences are ,but I remember it wasn’t easy. well, it wasn’t hard but it took patience and self-calming.
