You can have two or three choices. Each choice can lead you to a vastly different place or take a long or short time to finish. But it can also change YOU depending what choice you make.
I always hated things like this: because they’re flat. A good map would be multidimensional and it would be difficult to see all of it all at once because it’s so damn vast in space in time and the choice-maker might not look anything like the choice-maker did before making the choice because the choice made changes the choice maker.
The choice changes the choice maker.
Microclosures .Smaller loops. Incremental change. Small victories. You don’t lose the quest for big goals but it’s possible to remain creative and ambiguous while also being orderly. It’s an internal order that might not be outwardly expressed.
